Iskcon Dwarka to Host Quiz and Play on occasion of Janamashtmi
New Delhi, 13th August 2014: Iskcon Dwarka, one of the leading Iskcon temples in India, is coming up
with a quiz called Kaun Banega Krishna Ka Devotee (KBKD)to test the religious skills and knowledge of its
It is being organized to gauge the knowledge of Lord Krishna believers, the one with the boundless
enlightenment about their idol will be honored as the winner.
Iskcon Dwarka is also organizing a play OMG Returns, which is produced around existence of God. These
beckoning activities will take place in a lead up to the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janamashtmi
which will be celebrated on August 18th.
"On this auspicious Of Krishna Janmashtami, Iskcon Dwarka has organized quiz competition and play to
engage its devotees and enlighten them on Lord Krishna. We would like to invite all devotees to
participate in these events and celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami," Piyoosh Goyal, Temple President,
Iskcon Dwarka said.
Oh My God- Returns (Drama) (August 17th)
The drama is inspired by the movie Oh My God! This drama brings almost all the arguments presented
by Kanjibhai – the main character in the movie and which remained unanswered hence brought clouds
of doubt around many people’s faith. The drama answers these questions. Along with that some other
questions would also be raised and answered
The drama will attempt to answers the unanswered questions such as does God really exist? If yes, why
can’t we see him? Do calamities caused by God due to humans losing the humanity? The play will run
around all such questions and how these can be answered.
The stage setting of the drama would be primarily a court scene where Kanjibhai puts forward all the
above mentioned arguments which are dexterously answered by a devotee lawyer called Vijay Krishna
Das, climaxing at transformation of Kanjibhai from a God-grudger to God-lover.
Some of the questions which this drama attempts to answer are:
Does God really exist?
If God really exist then why can’t we see him?
Do we exist by chance?
Are our glorious ancestors some pack of apes?
Has science proved to be a boon or a bane?
Why has religion become an exploitative business in the name of God?
Can a cyber age person believe in God?
How can stone image be God?
Should one offer milk to an idol to go all waste or rather than to feed the poor children?
Should charity be given in temples? Isn’t that waste of money?
Are earthquakes acts of God?
People die being on a pilgrimage, so is God really there? If so how cruel He is!
Why do rich people get more privileges inside a temple than a poor man?
Kaun Banega Spiritual Smarty (Quiz) (August 18th)
Kaun Banega Spiritual Smarty (KBSS) if a fun filled way to develop the spiritual quotient among children
