Gravity targets 100 stores by 2021, expands to Gurgaon

6th May 2019, New Delhi/Gurgaon – India: Gravity, a men's wear brand for the
aspiration class is looking to expand pan-India with plans to open 100 stores by
2021 with an investment outlay of Rs 20 crore.
The Mumbai-based apparel company is now expanding to North India with
opening of an outlet in millennium city Gurgaon.
“We are at a growth trajectory and believe our offerings have a mass appeal.
With Gurgaon launch, we are now looking to aggressively expand to other
regions through company owned and franchisee model. We are targeting to
have our brand store in all district HQ in India, in the next 5 years and will
evaluate our IPO plans once we hit 100 stores,” Mr. Vikram Shah, Director,
Gravity Creation said.
The family business in ready-to-wear garments started in 1948 by the Grand
Father of Mr. Vikram Shah and in 1991; Brand Gravity came into existence.
Gravity is into manufacturing of Mens Wear and is available in over 2,000 Multi
Brand outlets throughout India.
Gravity apparels are best fit for aspiration class of people of age above 20
years in urban and semi-urban areas by giving them rich feel of brand at
competitive prices.
Apparels are designed by the team based in London. The company has around
400 employees and look to hire more as it expands to other regions.
The Gurgaon store is opened at MGF Metropolis, Sector 28, Gurgaon.
