Amplus Energy wins Innovative RESCO tender of MPUVNL; quotes the lowest for state buildings.
New Delhi, August 29,2018: Amplus Energy Solutions has emerged as a front
runner by winning 10.25 megawatts (MW) of solar rooftop plants out of the 35
MW projects bid-out by MPUVNL.
The tariffs offered are in the range of Rs 1.69 per unit to Rs 2.71 per unit with a
record low of Rs 1.69 per unit for the 5.2 MW aggregate capacity for the State
Municipal Corporations.
Amplus shall be installing projects at over 20 sites comprising of water pumping
stations, water filteration, water treatment plant in Gwalior as well as Govt
Medical Colleges and private institutions like Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital,
Bhopal and Jaypee University of Engineering Technology, Guna and APJ Abdul
Kalam University, Indore.
The bid which was conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam
Limited (MPUVNL) for 35 MWp solar rooftop projects across Madhya Pradesh
received great interest by domestic and international companies, over 30
companies participated in the tender.
The proactive measures from MP Government, investor friendly terms along with
the professional and timely conduct of bid presented a great opportunity under
the RESCO model.
Further, World bank’s technical support to MPUVNL to create data centre for the
bidding brought in transparency and has made the flow of the bid process
smooth.
Earlier in April, the govt of Madhya Pradesh and World Bank signed a 210 million-
dollar loan agreement to strengthen the rural connectivity of the state. The vision
of the MP govt to implement 2200 MWp of rooftop solar projects is in line with
GOI’s target to achieve 40 GW by 2022 and is a step in that direction.
“The innovative structuring of this bid process for rooftop projects indeed
provides a great framework for all government rooftop bids going forward. We
expect to quickly implement these projects and start providing the benefits of
economical green energy to the consumers in Madhya Pradesh” said Sanjeev
Aggarwal, CEO & MD, Amplus Energy Solutions.
